With humility and gratitude, I take this opportunity to address you as the incoming President of the Singapore Jain Religious Society. I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me, and I accept this responsibility with folded hands, seeking the blessings of Dev and Guru, and the guidance of our elders.
I sincerely thank all members of our Sangh, and I stand on the strong foundation laid by the visionaries, seniors, past Presidents, and Management Committees who have served SJRS with quiet dedication over the years. I am also grateful to the outgoing and incoming Management Committee, and to my family, for their constant support and encouragement.
As we move forward together, our actions will always be guided by the SJRS Constitution and Jain principles. Our focus will rest on four interconnected pillars, with Spiritual Growth at the centre, supported by Community Bonding, Community Seva, and Community Outreach.
Spiritual upliftment remains the heart of SJRS—through Swadhyay, Satsang, Bhakti, Pravachans, and religious observances. I am especially heartened by our collective initiative to bring the Anjanshalaka Pratimaji to Singapore. While approval is an important step, this sacred journey now calls for collective participation, seva, and unity.
Alongside this, we will continue to strengthen our Sangh through inclusive activities for all age groups, uphold our Jain values through seva to the less fortunate, and engage meaningfully with the wider community while representing Jainism with humility and pride.
With your continued support, guidance, and blessings, I pray that SJRS remains united, harmonious, and spiritually progressive.
I look forward to serving the Sangh and walking this path together in the spirit of seva.
In seva, Hitesh Shah President Singapore Jain Religious Society (On behalf of the Management Committee)
