Conversion from Ordinary to Life Membership
Aim: To encourage all ordinary members to convert to Life membership
Following changes have been adopted at the Annual General Meeting on 25 March 2012
** Only applicable to current and new Ordinary members.
Not applicable to all current Life members
1) All current ordinary members who are 60 years and above (as at 31 March 2012)
a) who have been members for 6 years or more – their ordinary membership will be converted to Life membership without any charge.
b) who have been members for 5 years and less – their ordinary membership will be converted to Life membership with one time payment of $ 100
2) All other current ordinary members (as at 31 March 2012)
a) who have been members for 6 years or more - their ordinary membership will be converted to Life membership with a one time payment of $100.
b) who have been members for 5 years and less – their ordinary membership will be converted to Life membership with one time payment of $ 200
3) All new members from 1 Apr 2012 – 2 options
- join as Life member with onetime payment of $ 500
- join as Ordinary member with first payment of $ 40 and for all subsequent payments, Giro form to be completed at time of application for subsequent annual payment of $40 per year
Note:-
- · Conversion exercise to be carried out over 6 month’s period. Final conversion date : 30 Sept 2012
- · All ordinary members who do not convert and/or make payment (by final conversion date) will be requested to make subsequent payments by Giro
- · MC will consider all special needy cases and will have final discretion on their approval
- · Associate membership – no change (currently $100 per year)
